1,290 miles to the Valley of the Sun
I’m Garrett, and the Vancouver, WA to Phoenix, AZ run is the longest single route on our board — about 1,290 miles. We work south on I-5 through Portland, Sacramento and the LA Basin, jump onto I-15 through the Mojave, then I-10 east across the Sonoran Desert into Phoenix.
How we plan the three days
Day one: Vancouver, WA load, push past Redding. Day two: down the I-5 spine, around LA, overnight in Barstow or Indio. Day three: into the Valley early to beat the heat, unload your Scottsdale, Mesa, Chandler or Sun City house by lunch. One truck. Same crew chief both ends.
What rides in the flat rate
- Full interstate authority on file (WA UTC + Oregon DOT HHG + US DOT/MC)
- Two driver overnights, fuel, per-diem and tolls
- Heat-aware load plan — heavier shrink, careful electronics handling
- Released-value coverage standard, full-value optional
This is the route I tell snowbirds to pair with a full-pack day on the Vancouver, WA front end — you do not want to be taping boxes the morning the truck rolls 1,300 miles. Cross-shop the Los Angeles and Denver routes if other family is heading that way, or see the long-distance service page for the whole approach.
