Across the state on I-82 and I-90
I’m Garrett, and Vancouver, WA to Spokane, WA is the longest in-state run we drive — about 350 miles. We pick up I-205 east out of Vancouver, jump onto I-84 through the Gorge, then climb I-82 and I-90 over Snoqualmie Pass and across the Columbia Basin into Eastern Washington.
The two-day rhythm
Most Spokane jobs we load mid-morning in Salmon Creek or Felida, push past the Tri-Cities by dark, and finish the haul into Spokane Valley or the South Hill the next morning. One truck the whole way. No warehouse transfer, no mystery second carrier — same crew chiefs from load to unload.
What I plan around
- Pass conditions — Snoqualmie can shut without warning Oct–April
- Crew hours — we stop on schedule, not when the truck breaks down
- Heat — Spokane summers run 100°F; we shrink-wrap mattresses tighter
- Flat rate in writing before the ramp goes up in Vancouver
Coming from the Vancouver, WA side, this route pairs well with a full-pack day so the last 24 hours before pickup are not chaos. Closer hops sit on the Seattle and Tacoma route pages, or browse the full long-distance directory.
