Terms of Service
These Terms of Service govern your use of the Honey Do Movers website and any moving services you book with Honey Do Movers, a licensed household-goods carrier based in Vancouver, WA. Your written estimate and bill of lading control the specific terms of your shipment; these site-level Terms apply more broadly to your use of this website and to the relationship between you and Honey Do Movers.
Quotes and binding flat rates
Every quote we issue is in writing and identifies the flat rate, the truck and crew configuration, the start window, the valuation election, and any anticipated accessorial charges. A quote becomes a binding flat rate once you sign the order for service. If the scope changes between quote and load day — added rooms, additional flights of stairs, items not disclosed at estimate — we will revise the paperwork in writing before any additional work begins.
Cancellation, deposits and rescheduling
Local Portland-Vancouver metro moves do not require a deposit and may be cancelled or rescheduled without penalty up to forty-eight hours before the scheduled start window. Long-distance shipments are booked with a deposit that holds the truck and the dates; cancellation and rescheduling terms for long-distance moves are spelled out on the order for service.
Valuation, claims and insurance
Released-value protection at sixty cents per pound per article is included at no charge on every shipment. Full-value protection is available as an upgrade and is elected on the bill of lading. Honey Do Movers maintains cargo, general liability, and statutory workers’ compensation coverage; certificates are available on request. Claims must be filed in writing within the timeframes prescribed by applicable Washington UTC, Oregon DOT, or federal interstate regulations.
Licenses and governing law
Honey Do Movers operates under a Washington UTC household-goods moving permit, an Oregon DOT HHG license, and US DOT and MC authority for interstate transportation. Intrastate moves are governed by the law of the state in which the move originates and terminates; interstate moves are governed by 49 U.S.C. and applicable federal regulations.
